Olinda Country Cottage

The brief for this was to transform the front entry to this cottage to create an inviting entryway. The cottage was being put up for sale and it was important to the client to not spend a lot of money, and to use the existing materials on site as much as possible.

Using the natural existing flagstone, the pathway was laid out in a gentle curving meander, helping to create an inviting experience. Several loads of crushed pea gravel was brought in, and the flagstone was laid within it, ensuring rain water would follow the natural swails and valleys. Simple plantings and edgings using small boulders defined the pathway and created a substantial upgrade to the previous layout
